 2009 Mini Tournaments (First 9 Holes Played)

Detailed below are descriptions of the Mini Tournaments which will be held between September 8th and 29th - weather and funds permitting.  If there is a rain out, the schedule will 'slip' by one week and the last tournament might be dropped.

Note: For all Mini tournaments, the 9 stroke max rule is waived and the USGA maximum Handicap Index is in effect (max handicap is 19 for Men and 21 for Women). If necessary, ties will be broken by the handicap order of holes.

Results of each week's Tournament will be placed on the "Home Page" of the website. 

Tuesday, September 15: - Individual Low Net Tournament

  1. Record on a "league scorecard" your actual score for each hole and then deduct your handicap. Remember, the LOWEST score you can record for any hole is a "1".
  2. Play either nine (MUST use scores for all 9 holes on the front or back nine where play commenced).
  3. There will be a First and Second Place prize for this tournament.
  4. Turn your scorecard (with the "calculated results") in to Pete Gallo at the Meadows. Otherwise, please send an E-Mail message to PeteG8@juno.com or call (if no E-Mail) Pete at 973.386.9151 with your actual scores and "calculated results" no later than Wednesday noon.

Tuesday, September 22: - Three Club Tournament 

  1. You are allowed ONLY 3 clubs (putter counts as one if used) when competing in this tournament.
  2. Record on a "league scorecard" your actual score for each hole and then deduct your handicap. Remember, the LOWEST score you can record for any hole is a "1".
  3. Play either nine (MUST use scores for all 9 holes on the front or back nine where play commenced).
  4. There will be a First and Second Place prize for this tournament.
  5. Turn your scorecard (with the "calculated results") in to Pete Gallo at the Meadows. Otherwise, please send an E-Mail message to PeteG8@juno.com or call (if no E-Mail) Pete at 973.386.9151 with your actual scores and "calculated results" no later than Wednesday noon.

Tuesday, September 29: - Two Person Better Ball Tournament

  1. Record on a "league scorecard" the actual score for each partner, then deduct appropriate handicaps to obtain the better score for each hole. The LOWEST score you can record for any hole is a "1".
  2. Play either nine (MUST use scores for all 9 holes on the front or back nine where play commenced).
  3. Turn your scorecard (with the "calculated results") in to Pete Gallo at the Meadows. Otherwise, please send an E-Mail message to PeteG8@juno.com or call (if no E-Mail) Pete at 973.386.9151 with your actual scores and "calculated results" no later than Wednesday noon.

Tuesday, September 29: - Point Tournament - CANCELLED

  1. Record on a "league scorecard" your actual score and then deduct your handicap. The LOWEST score you can record for any hole is a "1".
  2. Each golfer is awarded: 10 points for a double eagle, 6 points for an eagle, 4 points for a birdie, 2 points for a par, 0 for a bogey or above on a hole.
  3. Play either nine (MUST use scores for all 9 holes on the front or back nine where play commenced).
  4. There will be a First and Second Place prize for this tournament.
  5. Turn your scorecard (with the "calculated results") in to Pete Gallo at the Meadows. Otherwise, please send an E-Mail message to PeteG8@juno.com or call (if no E-Mail) Pete at 973.386.9151 with your actual scores and "calculated results" no later than Wednesday noon.
